London Bespoke Joinery - About

Our Process

1. Free Consultation / Concept Phase
The first step in the process is a consultation which can take place over the phone or by email. This is where you can show us drawings, pictures, photographs, magazine cut-outs, or even a rough sketch of what you are looking for so we can bring your idea to life.

We would also appreciate some rough measurements of your space. This will allow us to give an approximate quote so you can see if the project is within your budget.

2. Creating a brief / Site Visit
Once we have discussed initial ideas, we will visit your home/site to measure and discuss your requirements and desired design in-depth. This includes discussing finishes, materials, fixtures, and hardware. This will allow us to provide the final quote for the work and get familiar with the space.

3. Design Development / Budget Agreed
After the consultation/site visit, and measurements have been taken; we will create a detailed and comprehensive quotation/ proposal that details all your requirements. Once you have agreed to the work and the budget, we will ask you to pay a deposit.

4. Manufacturing
Once the deposit has been paid, we will begin manufacturing. All our items are handmade. Our team will start crafting your bespoke furniture in our workshop. We will send you updates on this, and we can arrange a visit to the workshop to see the progression of your project.

5. Finish
They are then made and assembled by our experienced team to ensure they fit perfectly. The piece is then dismantled, painted, and or lacquered by our team. Furniture is finished using the best stains, oil lacquer, and paints from highly regarded suppliers to ensure a surface of exquisite quality. All finishes are hand applied.

6. Installation
Our skilled team of carpenters install all bespoke furniture items/custom joinery. Seamus himself likes to be on hand to ensure that everything is installed to the highest of standards and that every last detail is as expected. The installation process is completed in a way to ensure the minimum of fuss and disruption to you, the client.
